A very smoky-woody leather fragrance with a dark, unconventional character. Despite the name, it is not a classic patchouli scent—it is dominated by birch tar smoke, styrax resin, and burnt wood notes, with only a soft earthy patchouli in the background.
It opens with a striking smoky-burnt wood accord, often described as campfire, BBQ smoke, or even roasted leather. This is the most intense and polarizing phase of the fragrance. As it develops, birch and styrax add a leathery, resinous depth, making it feel dry, dark, and slightly balsamic. In the drydown, a surprising sweet vanilla note emerges, softening the smoke and giving a warm, almost slightly gourmand finish that contrasts with the opening.
Longevity: very strong (often 9–12+ hours), with solid projection early on that becomes a heavy skin scent later.
